• Just two weeks after BRS's takeover by Volvo Contract Services, the truck rental firm has placed an order for a fleet of 1,200 new Volvos. The 240m order is for 500 tractive units and 600 rigids. At the time of its sole, BRS said it would maintain a mixed fleet.
Iveco Ford Truck has bought Securicor's 50% stake in its contract-hire division, EuroTruck Contracts. This effectively takes the whole operation back in-house, but Securicor will continue to provide fleet management expertise.
