T wholeheartedly support 1 the various schemes which strive to present the professional image of the transport industry by inviting both positive and negative comment from other road users.

I therefore feel compelled to write to you enclosing copies of letters that I have sent to the chief executive of two national companies, Rentokil and Dawson Holdings, in the past couple of weeks concerning the driving of two of their employees who in both instances were at the wheel of, you've guessed it, a white van, Obviously ''Road Rage" is not to be condoned under any circumstances but I wonder whether something can be achieved by other drivers, who suffer at the hands of this mindless minority, being encouraged to write to the highest authority in the companies concerned giving the details of the incident. Maybe the drivers of the white vans will be more inclined to listen to those who pay them--they seem deaf and blind to those who have to put up with their driving on Britian's roads!
