DAF TRUCKS (GB) has at last responded to the UK's new maxi's, weight limit by announcing that the 6x2 FTG 3300 DKX tractive I which made its first public appearance at the Brussels Show January 22) is to be made available in right-hand drive form.

The leading rear axle of the Daf is also to sell the FTG2 3.8m (12ft 6in) wheelbase 3300 tractive unit is positively steered by means of drag links and a relay connected to the standard ZF power assisted steering box. Both rear axles are fitted with Daf's recently redesigned air suspension.

The design weights for the UK specification FTG 3300 are 7,100kg (7 tons) for both steered axles; 10,500kg (10.3 tons) for the rear axles, 26,000kg (25.6 tons) gvw and 55,000kg (54.1 tons) gcw. DKSE 6x2 unit with stee leading rear axles.
