Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

IN OUR report "Firm let down by service checks" on p18, CM, January 29 we referred to a Traffic Commissioners hearing at which Whites Coaches of Camberley was giving evidence on diffictilties experienced with its maintenance system.

We accept that the mismanagement referred to in the fourth paragraph, as admitted in court by Whites' director and general manager Geoffrey Pitt, was on the part of Whites Coaches, and not the Freight Transport Association whose vehicle inspection system was used by Whites. • see 08
