Could you let me know the make-up of these various cost increases and say over what period they have been accumulated?

Haulage Association. The R HA suggested that very recent fuel increases, a previous increase of about ld a gallon sometime shortly before that, plus the fact that rebates allowed by fuel companies had been in general reduced by 1d per gallon recently would of themselves (without cost increases on any other aspect of operation) require about a 3 per cent rise in rates to compensate.
In the January 22 issue of CM (page 15) we published a further statement from the RHA to the effect that total costs rose by an average of 15 per cent in 1970, this figure being taken from the report by the Centre for Interfirm Comparison.
