• A new range of personnel carriers is now being built by B. Walker and Son Ltd, Gammons Lane, Watford, Herts, based on the Bedford CF van. The vans are received in factory primer condition, and four standard conversions are available. All are fitted with two main side windows, and access is from either double doors fitted at the rear of the body, or the front nearside door.
The models available are the Walkerbus, model WP1 a 12-seater de-luxe model with 12 forward-facing tubular-framed seats trimmed in black PVC on a foam cushion base; the Walkerbus WP2 which has nine forward facing seats, plus four facing bench seats at the rear of the body; the Walkerbrake WP3 with six upholstered forwardfacing seats at the front of the body, and
facing slatted seats with backrests for six passengers at the rear of the body; and the Wagonette, with three upholstered forwardfacing seats and full-length facing slatted seats, with backrests, for 10 passengers.
All the above models are based on the CFS 106in. wheelbase van, and the prices for the conversion from vans received in primer are: WP1 £275; WP2—£280; WP3---£230; and WP4—£1g0. This includes roof lining on all models, side lining on the Walkerbus, safety belts to the front seats, and exterior painting in single colour.
Two additional models are available on the CFL 126in.-wheelbase van--a 15-seat version of the Walkerbus de-luxe with allforward-facing seats, model WP5; and a 17-seat version of the Wagonette, model WP6 with 14 slatted scats. The basic prices for the conversions are: WP5--£340; WP6--£225. When headlining is not required, all the above prices are reduced by £11.
Optional extras include padded cushions for the slatted seats, chromium-plated rear corner bumpers, interior body light, and painting in two colours.
