• Midland Red and the Transport and General Workers' Union recently linked up to organize a series of two-day industrial relations seminars for management and trade union officers employed by the company.
During the seminar papers dealing with the role of full-time trade union officers and garage union committees, effective communication and productivity were read. Each paper was followed by practical exercises for those taking part to gain experience in the techniques involved.
