Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

WINNER of our 3 guinea prize this VT week is Mr. M. R. Tudor, of Hay Mills. Birmingham. 25. His idea con

cerns the removing of the gearbox from the Albion Chieftain Super Six tractive

unit. •

He says that instead of removing the rear-engine mountings as recommended by Albion Motors he finds that by selecting first gear and removing the gearbox top the box will clear the centre crossmember quite easily.

One Jack Only

Mr. Tudor. points out that this method is particularly useful -when no crane or pulley block -is. available; it requires only one jack, instead of •two, and keeps the enginesteady when refitting. Comments

Handyman: this idea and intend io try it at the first opportunity.
