ON completion of the third proving run with its Guy-York articulated unit (which left Tilbury this week) Asian Transport Ltd., of Attleborough, Norfolk, will have concluded the experimental stage of an enterprise expressly designed to explore the possibilities of direct trunk services between this country and the Middle East and Asia.

• The first two runs to Kabul. Afghanistan, in which the average running time was three weeks, have already demonstrated that the service is ideal for valuable exports, the chances of damage and pilferage being cut to a minimum, with consequent reductions in insurance rates.
