L work systems—as opposed to general comments about maintenance—will be dealt with in detail at an open meeting in Carlisle next Monday, February 15. The guest speaker will be Mr. R. Clifford, chairman of the North Eastern Maintenance Advisory Committee, and he will be talking about maintenance procedures from which large and small operators can benefit equally.

The meeting is at 7.15 p.m. at the Lecture Hall, Viaduct Hotel, and it is hoped that many goods vehicle operators in the Carlisle area will attend. Mr. Bill Mills, T.R.T.A. Northern Division secretary, said this week that he thought the time had come for giving operators clearcut, practical details from which they could apply systems to fit their own particular requirements.
