IN the face of acute competition from 1 German manufacturers, Leyland Motors, Ltd., have gained an order from Kompressor, Belgrade, for 25 forward-control dump trucks with Bromilow and Edwards tipping gear. Kompressor are a State-owned concern that supply and service Army vehicles.

Leyland vehicles are working in Yugoslavia on timber hauling, roadmaking and quarrying, and include one of the largest tipper combinations yet made by the company—a six-wheeler drawing a three-way tipping trailer with a total capacity of 15i Cu. yd.
