IN all, 16,000,000 meals were carried I to the people of Britain during 1942 by the fleet of emergency food vans presented to the country by Mr. Henry Ford and his • son. Schoolchildren form the chief customers of the Ford Emergency Food Vans. No fewer than 177 of the fleet Of 450 vans are daily employed on carrying hot meals to schools. Others -being supplied are agricultural workers, dockers, workers in small factories and demolition workers.
