Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• EPT Automation has introduced a new rising bollard, the Europost 800, with an extended height facility, designed for commercial and industrial premises. It is an addition to the Europost range which extend to a maximum of 600mm—the new hydraulically operated bollard will rise to 800mm.

Two models are available—the 100mm-diameter Midi and the 200mm-diam eter Maxi—and both are hot-dip galvanised for maximum weather protection. Final finish can be in a range of colours with the option of luminous stripes.

The new Europost can be hydraulically locked in the raised position for added security but, when not in use, can be lowered flush with the surrounding surface. There are vehicle sensing loops on either side of the bollard which prevent it from lifting if it is not safe to do so.

The maker says the bollard can be activated by a wide range of control devices, including hand-held radio transmitters, card or token readers, vehicle sensing loops or traffic lights.
