Mr Bryson was able to buy back one of the vehicles from the liquidator and he had since had to work hard to prevent his own personal bankrupcy.

The vehicle had now been seen by the vehicle examiner.

Vehicle examiner Mr Derek Sayer gave evidence that the condition of the vehicle was reasonably satisfactory but he was concerned that the vehicle could not be got into the covered workshops because it was being used as a store and to repair items of plant. He personally had had no difficulty in arranging an appointment.

Surrendering the 0-licence disc which belonged to the company Mr Bryson said the premises were the same as he had always had. When the vehicle examiner visited the workshop fencing was being dipped in creosote in the workshop and plant equipment was being serviced because the weather was inclement.

Questioned by Major General Carpenter Mr Bryson agreed there had been some difficulty in fixing a date with another vehicle examiner, a Mr Farr. He had been unable to keep the first appointment made as he had had to go to Scotland to see his parents.

He was unable to keep the second appointment as he was in the middle of a job and he did not want to break off as there was not a lot of work about.
