TWO Durham coach operators applied to the Northern Traffic Commissioners, last week, for permission to run services from Newcastle upon Tyne to Blackpool from June until the end of Blackpool illumination period. They were Primrose Coaches (R. and M. Bisset). Ryton, and Graham's Coaches, Winlaton.

Mr. T. H. Campbell Wardlaw, for the operators, said they held licences to run to Blackpool on Saturdays and Sundays, but they wanted to replace the Sunday service with one on Friday evenings. Saturday was the most popular travelling day and at present they had to send empty coaches to the resort on Fridays to cater for the Saturday traffic.
