Much research and field testing have been carried out with Tyrex yarn in the United States and Canada. Both car and truck tyres have been used in high-speed tests on the Nevada Highway, in " bruiSebreak " tests in the Rocky Mountains and in lorry and taxi fleets.

Mr. C. F. Kearton. managing director of Courtaulds. Ltd., said at the symposium, which was attended by leading tyre manufacturers, that this original British development would he the essential basis of tyre construction in the near future.
