Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Express Dairies has expanded Its chilied distribution business after buying Redditch-based Blokes Chilled Distribution for £3.2 million--but the firm will also take on £4m of Blakes' debts. Under the deal, Express Dairies assumes responsibility for 100 Blakes commercial vehicles, as well as 450 Blakes staff working in Redditch, Alcester, Warrington and Airdrie.

It has yet to be announced whether the fleet will operate in the Blakes or Express Dairies livery.

Blakes had a turnover of .220m in its year to June 1999. During this time the firm bought two depots From BOC, resulting in an Operating loss for the year. According to an Express Dairies spokesman, Blakes has now been restored to break-even.

Express Dairies chief executive Neil Davidson says the deal will increase the number of deliveries of chilled products to regional distribution centres and direct to stores.
