A START is reported to have been .1-3. made on preliminary survey work for the construction . of a LeedsSheffield motorway, as part of the Ministry of Transport's 10-year programme. The road is planned to am from the Leeds boundary at Hunslet to the Sheffield-Rotherham boundary and will by-pass Wakefield and Barnsley, Other roads will connect with it by means of fly-over junctions.
