Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Publicity given to our plans for replacing the existing Texaco fleet has prompted one or two letters asking why there were no British vehicles included.

In fact, at that time we were negotiating with British Leyland, but had not concluded an agreement. Since then, an order has been placed for seven 145 Roadtrains which are now being delivered and we will shortly be placing an order for over 20 more.

Neither Tankfreight nor Texaco are in any way antiBritish, but it is a fact that the foreign manufacturers have shown far more interest in winning a share of our business than has EL.
