He has been promoted from his previous job as depot operations manager, succeeding Alan Robinson, who has gone to Lex Wilkinson's London depot as manager.
Jones has been with Lex Wilkinson since 1979, when he joined as traffic clerk at Chester after teaching geography at Welshpool High School
