The Freight Transport Association has announced further election results for 1980/81 with J. Sharp of Ready Mixed Concrete (Wales) Ltd being named as chairman of the South Wales division. Vice-chairmen for the division are D. Jones (Aberthaw and Bristol Channel Portland Cement Co Ltd), W. Owen (Andrew Scott (CE) Ltd) and R. Price (Metal Box Co). Chairman for the Anglian division is P. Elliott (Boulton and Paul Ltd) and E. Rowley (Ozalid UK Ltd). S. Watson (Jewson Ltd) and J. McHale (IDV Ltd) are vice-chairmen. The Solent division's new chairman is J. Burge of Vinatex Ltd. Vice-chairmen are R. Allbrighton of Hamworthy Engineering Co, A. Powell of Forest Thinnings Ltd and S. Martin of Marconi Space and Defence Systems Ltd.
Terry Doyle has joined the sales team of Technical Pane' Industries Ltd as nationa' accounts executive for Southeast England and the Londor area. Previously working ir the food industry, Mr Doyle will be responsible for pro moting sales of TPI's range o. truck body and container pro ducts.

Mr Smith, who died oi holiday, was assistant indust rial relations officer at OD National Bus Company, an joint secretary of the Nationa Council for the Omnibus In dustry. He was with the Publi, Road Transport Associatioi from 1963 to 1974.
