Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

INTERNATIONAL Harvester is likely to purchase a further 4.5 per cent share in DAF during the coming year, according to IH senior vice president of marketing Robert J. Ratcliff.

The company already has a 33.3 per cent holding in DAF, with a long-standing option to buy a further 4.5 per cent. "It seems appropriate in 1980 to exercise that option, illustrating our continuing interest in DAF," said Mr Ratcliff.

At the moment, IH, the Van Doorne family, and the Dutch State Mining Company hold 33.3 per cent each of the DAF shares. The further 4.5 per cent which IH intends to take up will come out of the Van Doorne share.
