pIPES, tubes and vessels made by its process of continuous winding of resin-impregnated glass filaments are now offered by Filament Wound Reinforced Plastics Ltd., Stock Road Industrial Estate, Billericay, Essex. By the use of more than one resin, the range of liquids and gases catered for is wide and, where appropriate, the use of sandwich construction produces vessels of extreme lightness suitable for road transport use. The trade name used for the concern's products is Filawound and production is planned to cover a range of diameters; pipes 2 in. to 12 in., tubes 1 ft. to 2 ft., and vessels 2 ft. to 9 ft. Lengths of up to 20 ft. are obtainable.
