THE East Midland " As and Ds" / contains this week's largest application to be notified. It is in the form of an application for a new B licence specifying 10 vehicles and comes from flooring and roofing contractors Warden Floorings Ltd., of Kettering. The application states that the vehicles are at present operating under C licences.
In the same area there is a fairly substantial application by Watson Brothers (Burton-on-Trent) Ltd. for a new vehicle licence for five vehicles to be based at Hoveringham (Notts). The conditions sought are solid fuels and sand and gravel for several well-known companies. A seven-vehicle B variation application has been lodged in the South Wales Area by the Mordav Coal Co. Ltd., of LIanelly. Mordav seeks to carry coal for the N.C.B. and several named customers to power stations and schools in West Wales and London, and scrap from the London area to South Wales.
