Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• British bus operators will be able to try the new Mercedes-Benz 0.305 automatic transmission, one-man municipal bus at the Commercial Motor Show. Mercedes-Benz (Great Britain) Ltd, is bringing a demonstration example over for the Show and will be featuring a display unit of its newly developed automatic transmission on its stand (No. 79).

The bus, built to the German VOV specification (CM January 17 1969), is similar in technical specification to the 0.302 luxury coach which was the first imported passenger-carrying vehicle to pass the stringent British psv requirements. It has air-suspension, a horizontal six-cylinder 185 hp rear engine of 8720 cc, air-braking and a Webasto pre-heater is standard equipment.

The specification of the bus has already attracted favourable comment from British operators and preliminary talks have been held with a well-known British coachbuilding firm with a view to developing an Anglo-German integral construction bus which would bring the price within striking distance of the competition.
