BOTH DART GROUP and Business Post have outlined tough trading conditions in statements to the City.
Dart Group Turnover in the first half of the year has been well ahead of last year, but margins are at a lower level reflecting market conditions. This means operating profit will be significantly lower than last year.
However Dart says the outlook for the full year is likely to approach market expectations.
Distributor Fowler WelchCoolchain: part of the Dart Group. has had a satisfactory first half and is trading broadly in line with last year, the company says.
Business Post Group Group revenues have Increased by 9% in the six months to 30 September. The company adds that good growth in the business-tobusiness sector has been offset by a decline in the businessto-consumer market, which has become increasingly competitive.
