Ackermann In France: The German heavy commercial vehicle manufacturer Ackermann Fahrzeugbau of Wupperthal has set up a subsidiary, to be known as AckermannFrance, at Etreux; the new factory will be making refrigerated bodies and trailers and general bodywork for goods vehicle chassis built by the parent company in Germany.

Change: The Avon India Rubber Co. Ltd. has changed its name to the Avon Rubber Co. Ltd. The new, simple title prevents confusion and properly describes the company's business.

Michelin Opens in Chester: A new Michelin depot with service facilities opened in Chester this week. It has a storage area of more than 7,000 sq. ft. and is designed to serve North Wales and parts of Cheshire at present supplied from Liverpool.
