Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Cinderford-based Rothdean has developed a U-shaped 41.3m3 (54yd3) aluminium tipper body with a front taper the manufacturer believes is the first of its type.

The unit's wedge shape improves weight distribution and tipping stability, says Rothdean, while its rounded profile encourages smooth load discharge.

Ely Transport of Cardiff has taken the first one, a tri-axle model riding on Granning's latest Lynx SMB 34-85 10.5-tonne rated air suspension and 100series axles.

The new taper bath-tub trailer will operate with Ely's new ERF EC-325 6x2 twin-steer tractive unit carrying pre-coated roadstone and scrap metal. An optional front axle lift and Hyva FC183 tipgear are included.

Standard versions will weigh in at around 5.60 tonnes but the heavy-duty body for Ely has extra pillars and a strengthened floor which add 500kg.
