Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• MAN has chosen the G-Mex Centre as the UK launch pad for its L2000 six-10-tonne range of light truck chassis. Two versions are on display, both with refrigerated bodywork. One is on the Truck Panel stand, the other is shown equipped with a Paneltex system.

Scania (GB) is taking a sideways look at the transport business; its Finance and Contracts branches are showing its wide range of leasing and contract hire packages.

Main thrust The main thrust of Schmitz Cargobull (UK)'s display is to demonstrate its corporate family banner and to argue the advantages of using steel Ferroplast panels over conventional GRP body sides.

It has a tri-compartment reefer on display built for Hays and equipped with BOC's Polarstream cryogenic cooling system.

This uses liquid nitrogen to quickly achieve chilled to frozen temperatures.

Two other examples with the Polarstream system are bodied by Gray & Adams and GRP Massey, the latter combining diesel-powered and cryogenic refrigeration systems. This enables the trailer to maintain accurate multi-compartment temperatures for both trunk and secondary journeys.

Reefer drivers on local deliveries are in the habit of tying plastic strip curtains back so as not to impede access, leading to a loss of cold air. Solomon Commercials is exhibiting a way to overcome the problem with a new Scandinavian-made curtain that slides open via button controls in the body and closes automatically behind the driver.

Solomon is also showing a dual-compartment rigid for Gregg's the Baker with an inset Ross and Bonnyman tail-lift that forms part of the rear floor.

Suffolk-based GAH, set up by former Hubbard employees, has hydraulically driven freezer units on display, one on a Leyland Daf 400 Hi-Loader

van for Carnevale.

Carrier and Thermo King both have new refrigeration units on show, the latter with its latest Smart Reefer (SR) option for its SMX and SB 111SLE fridges. This is designed to protect both the load and unit. It will carry out a full pre-trip function check, log minor defects and shut it down if necessary, should major faults occur. Other options include the programmable Cycle Sentry data tracker via satellite and temperature modulation.

Cargohigo Lamberet has its 2,000th Cargofrigo reefer trailer on show which, with a Carrier Maxima, tares out at 8,500kg.

Fuller's Logistic Group makes an appearance with a new 26-pallet trailer from Schmitz; one of a batch of 19. It's also showing a rebodied Chereau trailer fitted with a Spaceslat moving floor which is said to have fewer moving parts than comparable systems.

tinuous hinge and there's a new full-length panel from Klege Europ for 26-pallet reefers. Made at Klege's factory in northern France, the Ferro-carbonate panel is said to be five times stronger than conventional GRP sides but it can be repaired in the usual way.

Grant Instruments has new database and analysis software for its Squirrel 500 Series on show, but there's a different angle on the reefer business from Montracon-Tasker and the Buckstone group.

Montracon-T is displaying half a trailer rear-end, sectioned to show the construction of the panel and extrusion joints, foam insulation and floor sealing. The treated steel-faced panels come from its own plant in part of Tasker's old Darnall site.

Instead of models from its range of bodywork, Buckstone has simulated its 24-hour computerised back-up service, covering trailers to sub assemblies from fridge units to tail-lifts.
