• Owner-drivers are to be stopped from using the Southampton Container Terminal's trailer park as an operating centre this year in a move designed to introduce fair play between hauliers. The SCT is to meet the Transport and General Workers Union and the Road Haulage Association to devise guidelines for the drivers and to "stop drivers getting upset with each other for things like queue jumping," says SCT.
