TRAFFORD Council Technical Services committee has decided not to oppose a weight restriction that could prevent road tankers from using the Lymm village route to and from Carrington Industrial Estate.
The decision could mean 250 vehicles a day having to find alternative routes., The committee decided not to object to the weight limit, agreeing that Lymm's problem was acute. It said alternative routes — through residential areas of Altrincham, Sale and Partington — were the only answer for now.
