Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ON Tuesday a new vehicle distribution and repair centre was opened by R. Boustead_ chief enforcement officer, North Western Traffic Area, at the Kirkby Trading Estate near Liverpool. Known as Lancashire Truck Distributors Ltd., an associate company of North Cheshire Motors. of the British Steel Construction Group and will be main distributors for Dodge vehicles and for Trailmobile semitrailers. The premises at Newstet Road cover three acres with a main and secondary buildings occupying 13,000 sq. ft. The main shop is 130 ft. by 9e ft. with clear headroom of 15 ft, A ring-main carries compressed air to every working bay, and all special tools used will be air-powered. For personal safety, inspection lamps are 24 volt, arranged so that they can be used at any location in the shop.

To launch the new company a show of vehicles and trailers, engines and axles will run for a week.

Two interesting exhibits are plated 22and 30-ton semi-trailers, the first seen in the UK from the Trailmobile organization. Of substantial design, the trailers incorporate many features developed in the United States and appear at first sight to be good value for money at £1,189 for the singleaxle 22-ton g.t.w. and £1,801 for the tandemaxle 30-ton g.t.w.

One unusual feature is the mounting of the fifth wheel kingpin, which is bolted up from the underside of the rubbing plate in order to provide easy changing into an

alternative position. A number of Dodge trucks were also demonstrated.

The company will also be dealers for Teletube equipment and expects to become distributors for the Loadlugger.

At present there are six fitters available; hours of operation will be 8 a.m. until 5.30 p.m., but no operator will be left in trouble at finishing time. Likewise weekend operations will be undertaken, given notice. Mr. Tom Ward, managing director, said: "No operator no matter what make of vehicle he is running will be turned away from the new works".
