Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

TO help in the drive for improved maintenance 1of goods vehicles, the Ministry of Transport is seeking to recruit 100 more vehicle examiners. These are needed to enable more spot checks of vehicles to be carried out, both at the roadside and on operators' premises.

With the extra 100, the number of Ministry examiners engaged on this and other work connected with the testing of vehicles for roadworthiness will be nearly 475.

Most of the vacancies are likely to be in the London area and in the Midlands, but there will be some posts in other parts of England, as well as in Scotland and possibly Wales.
