Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

TWO BRITISH army vehicles and their drivers took the ferry from Harwich to Gothenburg, Sweden, instead of to West Germany, where they were to have taken part in an exercise. This was a classic case of bad map reading, although it must be said in the men's favour that one bit of sea looks very much like another.

Those who manage to get lost on M1 will sympathise with the blushing troops. I understand that the drivers were sentenced to 10 days' Swedish drill.
