)ISTRIBUTION managers have been appointed already to run the we major depots being built for Bar Delivery Services, the company 3wned jointly by Southern BRS and Whitbreads.
Brian Render, who has 20 years' distribution experience Nith the food and drink, printing and chemical industries, is taking immediate charge of the Chiswick depot in West London and moves next spring to Kentish Town when its 80,000sqft premises are ready. He will be responsible for Greater London deliveries.
Home Counties operations are to be handled from December by new premises at Dunstable, and in the meantime its supremo, John Speak, is working from existing premises there. He has been BDS Hornsey manager for the last 18 months, and has been with Whitbread for 14 years. In the Seventies, he was customer delivery manager for Whitbread London.
