Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Journey times on Ribble express coach services from Manchester to Scotland were cut last week by further utilization of motorways. The M6 extension north of Carnforth to Carlisle is now being used for the X10 service to Edinburgh. Starting from Manchester and picking up in Pendlebury, Bolton, Horwich, Adlington and Chorley, the re-routeing of this service on to the motorway has led to a li-hour reduction in the journey time.

A new Ribble motorway express service starting today (Friday) trims more than 2 hours off the journey to Glasgow from Manchester and Bolton. This service leaves Manchester at 1600 hours on Fridays and Sundays and, arrives in Glasgow at 22.50. The return trip leaves Glasgow at 1500 hours on both days arriving in Manchester at 21.50. Apart from refreshment halts the Ribble coaches using M20 are now to run non-stop between Bolton and Preston. Preston and Carlisle and Carlisle and Glasgow.

Ribble has also started a new motorway express service from Morecambe to Glasgow in conjunction with Western SMT. From June 26 Ribble will also be operating an extra service on Saturdays throughout the summer from Morecambe to Edinburgh. This service will travel on M6 reducing the journey time to Scotland by about hours.
