DESPITE higher costs and a decline in traffic, Bury Corporation buses made a profit of £6,485 in the year ended March 31, according to the annual accounts. This was £3,066 below the
previous year's figure. • During the year, buses carrie d 33,454,012 passengers, a drop of 1,858,468 on 1956-57, but revenue was £422,629an increase of £6,591. Mileage dropped from 2,791,307 to 2,708,026 miles, although working expenses at £357,761 were £2,757. higher than in the previous year.
Receipts from bus hire were £2,159, an' increase of £563.
