CLEAN DIESEL International (CDT) has signed an agreement with Herefordshire-based haulier Burgoynes to provide it with its Platinum Plus fuel additive.

Burgoynes will be running its entire fleet of 40 CVs on Platinum Plus DSFX after undertaking successful field trials involving a number of vehicles.

Burgoynes' Jon Percy says: "After completing a nine-month trial with various vehicles,we saw a significant fuel saving.

"We were adding the solution to the vehicles separately,"he reports "But now that all vehicles will use it, it will be mixed into the fuel bulk tank in the yard."

CDI sales manager Mark Matchett says: "Our additive is a new way of using catalytic metals by utilising the reaction and creating a fuel-borne effect."
