• Iveco has launched two new joint ventures, with Nanjing Auto Work in China and Motor Sich in Ukraine.
The Italian-based truck manufacturer is investing .C132tri in a 50/50 deal to produce diesel engines and the Daily van in China. By the end of 1998 the new plant will be producing
75.000 engines and 60,000 vehicles a year with all components made locally.
As part of the I.Jkranian deal Iveco will be spending almost £12m in a GO% stake of a joint venture to build engines and gearboxes for the Daily and EuroCargo. Planned production is 12,000 units per year.
