Robertion, who has been appointed a group co-ordinator of Shell-Mex and B.P. Ltd. Mr. Tindale has held a number of senior posts, and was appointed general manager—marketing in 1960. He was made a director of the company in 1961.

Castrol Industrial Ltd. has appointed Mr. K. R. Dunlop as regional sales manager (Scotland). This is a newly created post. He will operate from the company's Glasgow office at 26 Mythswood Square. Mr. Stanley Beckett and Mr. Graham Brant have been appointed directors of York Trailer Co. Ltd. Mr. Beckett, one of the company's first employees, becomes secretary/treasurer, having formerly been company accountant; Mr. Brant joined York in 1960 as chief engineer, having been with Lockheed, Northern Aluminium and the Duramin Engineering Company.

Mr. H. T. Parkin has retired from the boards of Lep Transport, Crowe and Co. (London), and other U.K. operating companies of the Lep Group after 43 years' service.

After 42 years in the transport industry, Mr. HenryH. Merchant, director and general manager of Cumberland Motor Services has retired. He started his career as a haulage contractor but went into the bus indnstry in 1920, becoming divisional manager, English area traffic manager and, finally, traffic manager for Crosville Motor Services at Chester. In 1950, he went to Cumberland Motor Services.

Mr. R. Reid Jack has been appointed to the board of directors of the S.M.T. Sales and Service Co. Ltd. Mr. B. W. Clark has retired from the board.

Mr. John Oldham, chairman of Oldham and Son Ltd., has left for a 3-months' tour of the company's interests in South and Central Africa.

Mr. G. H. F. Parkes and Mr. P. G. Mallam have resigned from the board of directors of Small and Parkes Ltd., and the following have been appointed to the board: Mr. H. Middlehurst, export sales manager, Mr. F. W. Moran, company secretary, and Mr. G. E. Taylor. technical manager.

Mr. J. C. Frost has been appointed to the newly created post of chief engineer of V. L. Churchill and Co. Ltd. He will be responsible for the design and development of Churchill garage equipment and service tools.

Mr. H. E. M. Bull has been appointed London area manager of Austin Crompton Parkinson Electric Vehicles Ltd. in succession to the late Mr. F. Spaltou. Mr. Bull was southern area manager with Smith's Delivery Vehicles Ltd. prior to this appointment.
