TVVO SEPARATE fires at hauliers' yards are being investigated by police after a number of trucks were written off.

The first fire broke out at West Station Yard in Maldon. Essex, at approximately 7pm on Saturday 6 February. Essex County Fire & Rescue Service says it arrived to find four lorries ablaze (pictured), and worked hard to ensure the flames did not spread to fuel tankers in the yard. The vehicles belonged to several unnamed operators "We are examining CCTV [footage], which does show a boy running across the yard before and after the fire' a spokeswoman for Essex Police says, On the same evening at 8pm, firefighters were called to a blaze at the Newport depot of Norbert Dentressangle. According to Gwent Police, hundreds of pallets and a harry were destroyed.
