Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The addition of an excellent index makes the second edition of the Road Haulage Association's Haulage Manual, just published, very much more useful than the first. New subjects have been added — notably the Industrial Relations Act, and the EEC — and the bulk of the book has been updated to provide a really first-class guide to legal and practical aspects of road transport operation.

Alphabetically arranged, the contents run from abnormal loads to vehicle weights, the information being summarized in simple language. The section on the Industrial Relations Act is a masterpiece of compression, showing the structure of the new system by means of diagrams.

The book costs £2 net, and extra copies may be obtained by members from area secretaries or from the Association's address at 22 Upper Woburn Place, London WC I H OES. B.C.
