Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

With the death at the age of 73 of Herbert Seddon a family link with the commercial vehicle manufacturing industry spanning half a century has been broken. Mr Seddon, who was the salesman, with his elder brother Robert, the engineer, at the turn of the century established the company of Foster and Seddon Ltd in Salford which evolved into the Oldham-based Seddon Diesel Vehicles Group of Companies. Herbert, who retired as chairman and joint managing director four years ago, lived to see the original firm take over Atkinson Vehicles Ltd just under two years ago. Robert died in 1968. From Salford where they made trailers for the War Department during the Second World War, they moved to Oldham in 1946. However, it was back in 1937 when the brothers designed, manufactured and sold their first chassis.

Herbert was a pilot in the RFC during the First World War.

We record with regret the death of Peter Rainier, 33. North Yorkshire area training manager for the Road Transport Industry Training Board. He was a fellow of the CIT. Mr Rainier was formerly Yorks and Humberside regional manager, having joined RTITB from London Transport.
