A.RECENT directive issued by the Mont
Blanc Development Company indicates that heavy goods traffic is prohibited from using the tunnel from 1 a.m. to 12 p.m. on French and Italian holidays, as follows: All Sundays, January 1, January 6, March 19, Easter Monday, Ascension Day, April 25, May 1, Corpus Christi, Whit Monday, June 2, June 29, July 14, August 15, November 1, December 25, December 26.
The same letter also emphasizes that all tracked vehicles are barred from using the tunnel, also vehicles carrying explosives, heavy or light hydrocarbons, corrosive liquids, and all categories of dangerous goods.
