Renault Trucks has invested in a new dealership site at Coventry, while Isuzu Trucks has added a new dealer in the West Midlands, and made some changes around the South West.

HOT ON the heels of Renault Trucks' addition of Capital Anglian Truck & Van and Euro Truck Centre in Dundee, the manufacturer has also revealed plans for a new-build dealership in Coventry.

Renault Truck Commercials will open a purpose-built site in September 2009, under the stewardship of Chris Hammond, who is the dealer principal of Renault Trucks Midlands (Tipton).

It will be located on the Bermuda Industrial Estate, off the A444, two miles from J3 on the M6.

In the meantime, across the Midlands, Wolverhampton-based Broxwood Vehicle Services has been named as Isuzu Trucks new representative.

Isuzu has also announced changes to its presence in the South West. T Harvey & Sons, based in Redruth, Cornwall, is expanding its territory to include Devon and Somerset, and will operate a second newly opened site in Exeter.

Aftersales in Devon and Somerset will be handled by George Tancocks Garages in Exeter. Keith Child, marketing director at Isuzu Truck UK, explains: "The West Midlands is a key area for us, so Broxwood Vehicle Services has an important role to play in enhancing the success already achieved by the network in this area.

"In the South West, T Harvey & Sons are well-established Isuzu dealers in Cornwall, and will be able to use their expertise and knowledge to achieve similar success levels in Devon and Somerset," he says. •
