• CM's Steve McQueen and Peter Cramer last week chanced upon an escape of Five immigrants from a parked trailer at Alconbury truckstop. Owner-driver Mick Hicks, who operates From the Port of Felixstowe as Dual Carriage, quickly raised the alarm which triggered a police helicopter search. All five suspects were detained just over an hour later. "I was about to get into my cab, just vs these Fairly well dressed lads were coming out of the side of the other trailer. They then ran off," said Hicks.

NAFFI driver Trevor Smith, who was on a restbreak inside the cafeteria at the time of the breakout, said he had collected the sealed trailer at Purfleet in Essex only hours earlier. It had crossed the Channel on a ferry From Zeebrugge.
