Bedford in Ghana : The Prime Minister of Ghana last Friday opened on behalf of the United Africa Co., Ltd., a factory in Accra at which Bedford vehicles will be assembled. The initial output will be 60 units a month.

Morris Brakes: The Morris F.G. 3-tonner, which was the subject of a road-test report published in the issue dated November 20, was fitted with Don 55 moulded brake linings. This material is also being used for production vehicles.

Record Home Saks: Deliveries of Bedford and Vauxhall vehicles to the home market this year have already passed the 100,000 mark. It is the first time that deliveries have reached six figures in a year. Last

year's total was 70,700 units. •

More Jones Cranes: The engineering division of K. and L. Steelfounders and Engineers, Ltd., makers of Jones mobile cranes, is to expand. A new factory has been leased on the Newburn Trading Estate, some five miles from Newcastle upon Tyne.

Mobile Shops: Statistics published by the Co-operative Union indicate that 567 retail co-operative societies operate a total of 4,063 mobile shops. Of these, 2,069 are for groceries and provisions, 1,215 meat, 519 greengroceries, 56 dry goods, and 204 other commodities.
