Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ALTHOUGH it is fitted with standard seating, a heater and folding doors at the rear, a double-deck body which Park .Royal Vehicles, Ltd., have mounted on a Guy Arab Mark IV chassis for the East Kent Road Car Co.. Ltd., weighs only 2 tons DI cwt.

This vehicle, which is outwardly identical to the 30 supplied to East Kent earlier this year and described in The Commercial Motor on June 19, weighs 12 cwt less. This saving has been achieved mainly by using light alloys in place of steel in parts of the structure.

It is intended to employ this type of vehicle on the company's extensive country services, where it is hoped that the weight saving will help to offset rising costs.

The Guy chassis has 'a Gardner sixcylindered 112 b.h.p. oil engine, and the body is a full-height 56-seater.
