COMPANY REPORTS.

East Kent Road Car Co., Ltd.—in year ended Sept. 30, 1936, profit was £45,686. Dividends on preference shares account for £13,000, general reserve receives £10,01100 and a dividend of 8 per cent. on ordinary shares, takes 428,000, leaving 47,565 carry forward. Hermetic Rubber Co., Ltd.—For year ended Sept. 30, 1936, profit was 41,673. Provision for income tax takes 4488, and dividend of 6 per eent, per annum (less taxi requires £1,144. Carry forward is 41,069, against £1,026 brought in. Jewett Cars, Ltd.—Diet profit in year ended Sept. 30, 1936. was £11,150, contrasted with 433,744 in previous year, after providing 44,476 for income tax this year, against 41,679 last year. No dividend is recommended on ordinary sharesand, after providing for preference payments and writing down preliminary expenses by a further 41,500, carry forward is 48,780. Scottish Motor Traction Co., Ltd.—During year ended Oct. 31. 1956, net profit was £184,4-51, against £178,309 in previous. year. Dividend of 10 per cent., on ordinary shares takes 465.456, and preference dividend accounts for 449,969. Contingency reserve receives £21,000 and genera! reserve Z38,000, the carry forward being £69,712. Henry Meadows, Ltd.—Tn year ended Aug. 31, 1936,. 'net profit, after deducting tax, was £26,214 it was 121,396 in previous year.
