Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Four truck drivers for Aston Clinton Haulage were fined a total of £450 for tacho offences after pleading guilty at Aylesbury Magistrates Court last week.

The hearing followed a longer one in June when the company was fined £14,200 with £750 costs after facing 43 charges of failing to keep records and allowing drivers to exceed working hours or take insufficient rest (CM 30 June-6 July).

Prosecuting for the Vehicle Inspectorate, John Rose said the bulk of the offences had already been dealt with. He was now not proceeding with two outstanding cases against the Aylesbury-based company.
